DAY 01:   THIMPHU

Thimphu, perhaps the most unusual capital city in the world, is a bustling town on the banks of the Wangchu River and it is the most populated district in the country with around 100,000 plus people. All the head office of the different administrative offices were located here.

Sightseeing
  • Visit Takin Zoo (National animal of Bhutan)
  • Visit Kuenselphodrang (huge statue of Buddha).
  • In the evening visit Tashichhodzong (Fortress) built in 16th century and also called as summer residence of the chief abbot (Je Khenpo) who looks after the religious matters in the country.
  • Visit Post office and lunch on river side picnic

DAY 02:   THMPHU-PUNAKHA

Punakha is the winter residence of our chief abbot lama (Je khenpo) who looks after the religious matter in the country and also it was the capital city of Bhutan long time back. The fortress was one among many located right in the middle of two river (male and female) built to protect the country in the ancient times. UgyenWangchuk became the first king in this fortress in 1907.

Sightseeing
  • Morning drive to Punakha, STOP at Dochu La pass (3050 mtrs) above sea level and if the weather is clear, we can view the entire range of Bhutanese Himalayas (left to right): Masagang (7,158m), Tsendagang (6,960m), Terigang (7,060m ), Jejegangphugang (7,158 m ), Kangphugang (7,170 m ), Zongphugang (7, 060 m ), a table mountain that dominates the isolated region of Lunana finally Gangkarpuensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7,554m.
  • Visit Punakhafortress , the Second fortress built by ZhabdrungNgawangNamgyel in 1637.
  • Afternoon River rafting in Punakha Mo-Chu (Female river) with the best view of the fortress from the boat.

DAY 03:   PUNAKHA–Trongsa-BUMTHANG

A day drive from Punakha to Bumthang, This is the opportunity you will enjoy the atmosphere of the nature but will also visit some place on the way at Trongsa. Bumthang among twenty dricts in Bhutan is the most historice place of ancient temples and sacred sites . The place where Second Buddha Guru Ripoche (Padmasambhava) have visited during ecenturies .

Sightseeing
  • Visit Trongsa National Museum, a museum dedicated to the Wangchuk dynasty and local deities.
  • Visit Yathra shop in Bumthang (handicraft shop) pure Bhutanese textile products.

DAY 04:  BUMTHANG

The second day in Bumthang consists of all the sacred sightseeing's around Bumthang valley. It is very lucky for all the trip members' to have this opportunity to visit the holy places here in Bumthang.

  • Visit KurjeyLhakhang where one can see the body imprints of Guru Rinpochoe
  • Visit,JambayLhakhang,one of theoldest temples in Bhutan
  • VisitTangMebarTsho and IF time permitsvisitJakarDzong.

DAY 05:  BUMTHANG —Trongsa-GANGTEY (Pobjikha Valley).

The Phobjikha Valley is a vast U-shaped glacial valley, also known as Gangteng Valley named after the impressive Gangteng Monastery of the Nyingma sect in central Bhutan, where the graceful black-necked cranes in Bhutan from the Tibetan comes during winter.

Sightseeing
  • Visit TrongsaDzong on the way back from Bumthang to Gangtey
  • Visit GangteyGonpa temple built by GyelsayPemaThinley in the the year 1613 , The GangtengMonastery,generally known as GangteyGonpa or Gangtey Monastery, is an important monastery of Nyingmapa school of Buddhism, the main seat of the PemaLingpa tradition. located in the WangduePhodrang District in central Bhutan.
  • Visit the crane center located at the lower valley to get some information on the rare bird Black Necked Crane.
Overnight:Fobjikha

DAY 06:   GANGTEY-THIMPHU

Expect the un-expected things, we cannot predict the nature. So in case if you couldn't visit some places due to shortage of time or due to natural calamities you have the full time to visit while you return back.

Sightseeing
  • In the morning visit the crane center located at the lower valley to get some information on the rare bird Black Necked Crane before you leave Fobjikha Valley.
  • Once reach in Punakha Visit Chimilakhang Temple with interesting stories behind.
  • While reaching Thimphu,Visit National Memorial Chorten (Stupa) built in 1974 in the memory of third king JigmeDorjiWangchuk.

DAY 07:   PARO

Paro is a town and seat of Paro District in the Paro Valley of Bhutan. It is home to Paro Airport but we also have other three domestic airports in other district.

Paro valley extends from the confluence of the ParoChhu and the Wang Chhu rivers at Chuzomupto Mt. Jomolhari at the Tibetan border to the North. This picturesque region is one of the widest valleys in the kingdom and is covered in fertile rice fields and has a beautiful, crystalline river meandering down the valley.

Sightseeing
  • Visit Paro National Museum so that you will get more familiarize with Bhutanese culture and tradition
  • Visit ParoRinpongdzong "Fortress of the Heap of Jewels "is symbolic as the religious and secular centre of all affairs in the valley.
  • In the evening everyone will be attaining the Bhutanese's cultural show at the hotel.

DAY 08:   PARO

TaktsangLhakhang is Bhutan's most iconic landmark and religious site. The name Taktsang translates to "The Tiger's Nest". This temple is one of the most holy sites in the kingdom and clings impossibly to a sheer cliff face 900 hundred meters above the Paro Valley

TaktsangLhakhang is located approximately 10 km north of Paro town at an altitude of 3.120 meters. In order to arrive at the temple visitors must trek for around 2-3 hours through beautiful, shady pine forests. No trip to Bhutan would be complete without a visit to this remarkable heritage site.

Sightseeing
  • It was first built in 1692 at a cave where Guru Rimpoche meditated in the 7th century A.D. Legend states that Guru Rimpoche flew to the site atop the back of a tigress and meditated in the cave for 3 years, 3 months, 3 days and 3 hours in order to subdue evil demons residing within it. The cave has been considered a sacred site ever since and many famous saints have travelled to meditate in it.
  • Visit KichuLhakhang (temple) of 8th century (one of the sacred temple in Bhutan).
